2019 Speech Contest | Rotary District 7850 of Northern NH, VT & Quebec

The District Speech Contest purpose is to help youth, community and Rotarians to understand, encourage and foster the principles and values of Rotary.

Topic: How can ‘Service Above Self’ be an Inspiration to Others?
Prepare and deliver a five-minute speech which relates the relevance of this topic to teamwork and to everyday relationships. High school age students only. Memorization not required.

Round 1 – Prize $100
Local contest sponsored by Cohase Rotary Club and local schools on February 19th 6pm at Colatina Exit, Bradford, VT.

Round 2 – Prize $150
Compete against other Round 1 Club Winners from other nearby Rotary Clubs before March 27, 2019. Date & Location TBD.

Round 3 – Prize $250
Compete against up to ten other Round 2 Winners at the District 7850 Assembly before lunch on Saturday April 13, 2019 at Northern Vermont University, Lyndonville, VT.

Round 4 – Grand Prize $500
Compete against the one other Round 3 Finalist around Noon on Saturday May 4, 2019 at the District 7850 Conference at Delta Hotel, Rue King, Sherbrooke, Quebec. Border crossing documents required, extra requirements for children under 16.
